Kingdom Carpets - Terms and Conditions

1. General Information
These terms and conditions apply when you enter into a contract with Kingdom Carpets Limited ("KC"). By proceeding with your order, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. Please check all order details carefully and contact us immediately with any queries. Any revisions to your order may incur additional costs.


2. Consumer Rights
We are responsible for supplying goods and services that meet your consumer rights. If you have concerns that we have not met our legal obligations, please contact us.


3. Payment and Ownership

  • All goods remain the property of KC until paid in full.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Orders are legally binding upon placement of a deposit.

  • Cancellations are generally not accepted unless we are in breach of contract.

5. Delivery and Collection

  • Delivery times are estimates and given in good faith. These may vary based on availability and peak periods.

  • Customer’s Own Sizes: If a customer is providing their own sizes, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate sizes. Please ensure you add a minimum of 10cm to your sizes. Orders will be placed immediately upon payment unless otherwise agreed with the customer.  KC accepts no responsibility for mismeasurement by the customer.

  • Please ensure someone is available to inspect your delivery and that it is visually acceptable.

  • If collecting from our warehouse, you must have an appropriate vehicle to transport the goods without damage.

6. Installation and Preparation

  • Fitting Times: Each job varies in complexity, therefore we cannot predict when the fitters will finish and cannot provide approximate times for any other job except the first one of the day.

  • Room Preparation: Customers must remove all furniture and old flooring before fitting, unless otherwise agreed in advance. If assistance is required, at least three days’ notice must be given, and an additional charge will apply.

  • Subfloor Conditions: The floor must be smooth, dry, clean, and sound. If extra preparation (e.g., smoothing compound, ply boarding) is required, the customer must bear these costs unless this has been agreed prior. Please make the Fitter aware of any underfloor services including pipes, cables or underfloor heating.

  • Door Trimming: KC fitters may remove doors but will not trim or rehang them. The customer must arrange this separately.

  • Fitters' Liability: Fitters will exercise reasonable care and skill, but minor marks or scuffs on walls and décor may occur. Newly painted or wallpapered surfaces should be left to dry for at least two weeks before installation. We advise that you are able to source the necessary materials to touch up as a precaution.

7. Carpet, Vinyl and Flooring Specifications

  • Manufacturer Guarantees: Are in addition to your statutory rights.All warranties & guarantees are available on request.

  • Pattern Width and Colour Variations: Exact pattern matches, colours and widths cannot be guaranteed. Colour variations between different widths and batches may occur. Widths may vary ±1.25%.

  • Carpet Vacuuming and Offcuts: Carpets will not be vacuumed after installation. Small offcuts and waste may be left for the customer to dispose of unless otherwise agreed.

  • Installation Under Appliances: If fitting vinyl under non-integrated appliances, these must be removed before installation, otherwise the vinyl will only be slipped under the front feet of the appliance.

  • Wear and Tear: Manufacturer wear guarantees do not cover surface stains, scratches, or marks caused by the consumer. Regular cleaning is recommended.


9. Post-Installation and Maintenance

  • Restretching: Any restretching required after three months will be chargeable at current hourly rates, including travel time.

  • Cleaning and Care: All cleaning must follow manufacturer guidelines. KC is not responsible for damage due to incorrect cleaning methods.


10. Furniture / Chairs

  • Sizing: It is the responsibility of the customer to double check the new furniture will fit in to their home. Please be sure to check door widths and entry points. If the furniture does not fit, we can arrange an upholsterer visit, of which the customer is responsible for paying.

  • Warranty / Guarantees: This is in line with the manufacturers warranty and guarantee and does not cover general wear and tear, or improper cleaning or care of your furniture.

11. Complaints and Returns

  • Reporting Issues: Any damages or faults must be reported in writing to sales@kingdomcarpets.co.uk as soon as possible.

  • Resolution Process: Complaints will be handled in good faith.

12. Data Protection (GDPR)

KC may occasionally contact you via email. We will not share or sell customer personal information with third parties
